At dawn by a desert road, a mystic herbalist drums up spirits around her stall. (#01 Night Fall).
College dropout, ADAM, lodges with his aunt and uncle at their failing space-rock shop. (#02 Dry Land).
In his cabin bedroom, he struggles with nightmares and a funky rock that interferes with electronics.
Geology intern, GEORGIE, loves meteorites. The team make a desperate promo video for the store (#03 Hicksville Rocks). Enter MAJOR DON, a quixotic military-intelligence officer with export permits. He’s exaggerated their discoveries to the Mexican Pentagon, but now an audit looms. They must find – or fake – DNA in a meteorite, pronto, or their store is finished. (#04 Spice It Up!)
Adam gazes at the night sky, awestruck by its vast beauty and seeming cold indifference to humanity. (#05 Little Star)
That night, (#06 Visitation Zero) AURIGA, a graceful medic in a telepathy mask, visits Adam through the wardrobe in his bedroom. (#07 The Eyes) The funky rock jams her “fazer” device, and Adam accidentally entrances her with it. They soar on a cosmic, out-of-body mystical space-flight (#08 Clear Sky). In the morning Adam is excited but Auriga plays it cool. (#09 A New You Tomorrow)
The shop team scans meteorites for DNA. Don notices Adam acting lovesick. (#10 Don't Look Down)
Adam’s aunt, THERESA, calls DOCTOR RUCCOLA to hypnotize him. (#11 Mystery Box)
Adam recounts his starry night and imagines Auriga’s reaction. (#12 Why Did You?)
The doc scoffs, but Theresa believes, all-in. (#13 Infinite)
A strand of Auriga’s hair shows tweaked human DNA. She’s from the future! (#14 Wow!)
On the Mothership, natural humans are extinct, replaced by infertile clones. The mostly-female time-traveling crew hunt history for unmodified genetic material to fix their future crisis. Brash rival REX (#16 The Man) has trashed most eras with clumsy methods and self-mythologizing showmanship. Auriga confesses her close encounter with Adam. Rex negs her subtle approach and storms Adam’s room to attempt an old-fashioned probing. (#17 Visitation One) (#18 Alien Love).
Aunt Theresa interrupts, mid-ritual. Rex fazes everyone, performs a keytar solo, and tries to entice them onto his spaceship. (#19 Get on the One). Major Don and his agents swoop in, break up the party, and arrest Rex. Auriga grabs the fazer to wipe memories and fix the mess, but Adam protests, her hair is already in evidence … and he loves her!
As history unravels, Auriga brings Adam to the Mothership to recover the hair, pre-discovery. During the time-jump, his presence triggers a paradox, threatening the ship (#20 Storm in a Spaceship). Adam heroically ejects himself into the interdimensional void. (#21 Midnight Lake). GAIA, the Earth goddess, saves him, revealing a chilling vision of humanity’s fate. (#22 Come Back in Time). Using nearby glowing rocks, Adam signals Auriga, who rescues him. (#23 Mothership). They free a reformed Rex (#24 Old Enough) from prison and hand Don a rock sample.
To save history, Adam and Auriga undo their original meeting. (#25 Visitation Zero Reprise) On the winter solstice, Adam lands back home. (#26 Blessed) Auriga’s team visits one last time, in disguise. (#27 Ding Dong!) Auriga is pregnant, bearing Adam’s DNA to revive future generations. She claims he’ll come to terms with this eventually, while Georgie points him toward local romance. (#28 Later)
The Gaia rock pulses with microbial life. (#29 Hunkafunk) The shop survives, and Earth looks to the stars, inspired.
